WorkWell is a FREE evidence-based initiative which supports workplaces to develop effective and sustainable employee health and wellbeing programmes.  This Toi Te Ora – Public Health Service initiative is available to workplaces in the Bay of Plenty and Lakes District.  

Research shows the New Zealand workforce has one of the lowest rates of productivity in the OECD.  Staff health and wellbeing programmes can benefit both staff and the workplace by improving productivity, reducing absenteeism, and creating a happier, healthier workforce.

WorkWell is about doing everyday business in a way that leads to an improvement in employee wellbeing.  WorkWell supports workplaces to develop an effective and sustainable staff health and wellbeing programme through an evidenced based framework and focuses on improving the workplace culture and environment and providing opportunities for individual skill development.

WorkWell provides a range of free support to workplaces in the Bay of Plenty and Lakes districts, including professional support and advice, resources, tools, workshops and recognition through our accreditation program. 

Who else is doing it?
Around 40 businesses in the Bay of Plenty and Lakes districts have joined WorkWell and are working to improve the health and wellbeing of their workforce. This includes workplaces from a range of industries, including manufacturing, transport, construction, and health and community services.
