Toxic shellfish health warning issued in Eastern Bay of Plenty

A health warning has been issued by the Ministry for Primary Industries advising against collecting shellfish from part of the Eastern Bay of Plenty coastline.  The coastline affected is between the Whakatane Heads and the Waioeka River mouth in Opotiki. The warning also includes the Ohiwa Harbour.  Collecting and eating shellfish from this area may result in Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning.
